For the ninth year in a row, the Middle
Rio Grande Chapter has supported the Socorro Ranger District by working
on the Continental Divide Trail in the area of Pelona Mountain. This
year we were joined by members of the Socorro Chapter and the Northwest
Chapter. The task was to pack signage to the gate leading into BLM
portion of the Trail leading from the Gila and install signs, a
registration station, and a hitching rail at a new Trailhead where the
trail crosses NM 163.
Along the way, we re-set posts and installed signs.
